Fitout of Specialist Medical Practice

A fitout of a 100 sq m practice at Liverpool. This previous tenant had vacated and left a nuclear medicine fitout which was fully demolished and removed.

Dr Saliba’s key requirements were to create a calm environment for both patients and staff, while including modern, clean design elements for the three consult rooms, a treatment room, a practice manager’s office, a staff kitchen and a reception/waiting area.

During the planning process Dr Saliba and the Cassins team reviewed a range of design suggestions. Major design features included vertical battens on the Reception Desk with a and a recessed ceiling in the Reception / Waiting Area. To assist with projecting a sense of calmness, a living wall was installed in the Reception / Waiting area. Many patients have already provided positive feedback on this feature. Another key design element was the colour selection – lighter tones on the practice walls with a dusty pink feature colour, which was also featured on shadow line of the Reception Desk. The result is a practice which projects a calm and welcoming environment.
